YOUR AVAIL VALIDATOR
Atlas joined Avail at genesis and has supported the network as an independent operator. Because Nominated Proof of Stake validator status can change by era, this board checks Avail’s official validator data instead of publishing a fixed rank.
The Atlas Avail validator is waiting to enter the active set, so it isn’t earning or paying staking rewards right now. Rank, stake and nominator figures appear here as soon as Avail’s validator data lists Atlas in the active set. Network readings and AVAIL market data on this page stay live either way.
Stake from your own wallet in the Atlas app, through a pool that backs the Atlas validator. Atlas never takes custody of your AVAIL, and you can unbond whenever you choose.
NONCUSTODIAL
Nomination bonds tokens through your own wallet. Atlas never receives your recovery phrase or custody of your balance.
GENESIS VALIDATOR
Atlas has supported Avail since genesis, as an independent operator securing the network.
DIRECT NOMINATION
You bond AVAIL from your own wallet and pick the validators yourself, up to 16. You only earn in an era when one of your picks is in the active set. Nominate a single validator and you earn nothing while it’s inactive.
NOMINATION POOLS
A pool bonds its members’ AVAIL together and nominates up to 16 validators. Atlas runs every pool in the Atlas app and keeps the Atlas validator as a fixed pick in each one. In most eras at least one of a pool’s validators is active and earning for its members, so a pool greatly improves your chance of earning rewards. It isn’t a guarantee.
WHAT WE CAN SHOW YOU TODAY
Every figure below is either fetched live in your browser or a labelled snapshot, never an unlabelled guess.
One Atlas validator
Atlas runs a single validator identity on Avail, checked the same way every nominator can check it.
Genesis operator
Atlas joined the network at genesis and has operated as an independent validator since.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ACTUALLY ASK
What is Avail and what does its data availability layer do?
Avail is a modular blockchain focused on data availability. Rollups and application chains can publish transaction data to Avail while execution happens elsewhere. Availability proofs help participants verify that the underlying data can be retrieved.
What is AVAIL used for?
Native AVAIL is used for transaction fees, governance, and Nominated Proof of Stake security on Avail mainnet. Staking AVAIL helps back the validators that produce blocks and make published data available.
How does Nominated Proof of Stake work on Avail?
Validators operate infrastructure and participate in consensus. Token holders can become nominators by bonding AVAIL and selecting validator candidates. The protocol assigns backing across elected validators and distributes rewards under its on chain rules.
How do I stake AVAIL with Atlas?
Open the Avail page in the Atlas app and connect SubWallet or Talisman. Pick one of the Atlas pools, enter an amount, and approve the transaction in your wallet. Leave some liquid AVAIL for fees.
How many Avail validators can I nominate?
Avail’s official staking guide currently allows a direct nominator to select up to 16 validator candidates. Selecting several candidates doesn’t guarantee that every selection will be elected or receive backing in each era.
What is the difference between direct nomination and a nomination pool?
With direct nomination you bond AVAIL from your own wallet and choose the validators yourself, up to 16 of them. You only earn in an era when one of your choices is in the active set, so if you nominate a single validator you earn nothing while it’s inactive. A nomination pool bonds its members’ AVAIL together and nominates up to 16 validators as one. Atlas runs every pool listed in the Atlas app and keeps the Atlas validator as a fixed pick in each. In most eras at least one of a pool’s validators is active and earning for its members, which greatly improves your chance of earning rewards. It isn’t guaranteed.
How long does it take to unstake AVAIL?
Avail currently documents a 28 day unbonding period. Tokens being unbonded can’t be transferred and generally don’t earn staking rewards. Network governance can change parameters, so verify the current value before submitting an unstake request.
When does an AVAIL nomination start earning rewards?
Avail operates in eras. A new nomination may become active in a later era if it backs an elected validator, and rewards follow the network’s payout process. Timing and amounts vary, so don’t treat an estimated annual rate as guaranteed.
Can I stake bridged or ERC-20 AVAIL directly?
Native staking occurs on Avail mainnet. AVAIL held on Ethereum or another network may need to move through an official bridge before it can be bonded. Verify the source chain, destination, token contract, and current Avail guidance before transferring.
What happens if a nominated validator isn’t active?
A candidate that isn’t elected into the active set doesn’t perform active validator duties for that era. The Avail page in the Atlas app shows whether the Atlas validator is in the active set this era, since only active validators take part in reward production. If it’s the only validator you nominate, you earn nothing for that era. A pool nominates up to 16 validators, so it generally keeps earning when one of them sits out an era.
What risks should I consider before staking AVAIL?
AVAIL can lose market value, reward rates can change, and bonded tokens are illiquid during unbonding. Validator performance or protocol violations can affect outcomes under network rules. Staking rewards are variable and never guaranteed.
