AKASH STAKING WITH ATLAS
Akash is a decentralized cloud marketplace for AI workloads and containerized applications, built with the Cosmos SDK and connected through IBC. Stake AKT with Atlas, an independent Akash validator, to support network security and governance while keeping control of your wallet.

YOUR AKASH VALIDATOR
Independent validator operations for Akash. You keep control of your wallet and authorize your own staking transactions.
Atlas Staking
One Atlas validator. Delegate directly from your wallet.
OUR AKASH NUMBERS
Our Akash validator has steadily climbed the active set since we joined on August 28, 2025, at block 23,053,600. We are active governance participants and very much believe in the project’s mission to decentralize compute.

WHY DELEGATE DIRECTLY?
Support the security and decentralization of the blockchain behind Akash’s compute marketplace.
Your keys stay yours
Atlas does not take custody of your wallet. Delegated AKT is bonded on-chain and subject to network rules.
Choose an independent validator
Delegate to Atlas and support an independent operator in the active validator set.
Help secure the network
Your delegation contributes to the stake backing transaction validation and consensus.
QUESTIONS PEOPLE ACTUALLY ASK
What is Akash Network, and what is the AKT token used for?
Akash Network is an open marketplace where independent providers offer CPU, GPU, memory, and storage for cloud workloads. It is built with the Cosmos SDK. AKT is the network’s native token and is used for proof-of-stake security, governance, and transaction fees. Akash also uses ACT as a stable compute credit for deployments.
How is staking AKT different from providing cloud or GPU compute?
AKT staking and compute supply are separate activities. Delegators bond AKT to an Akash validator to help secure the blockchain. Compute providers operate hardware and compete to host tenant workloads in the decentralized cloud marketplace. You can stake AKT without running servers or becoming an Akash provider.
How do I stake AKT with the Atlas validator?
Open “Stake AKT with Atlas,” connect a supported self-custody wallet, verify that Atlas Staking and the validator address are correct, choose an amount, and approve the delegation transaction. Leave a small amount of liquid AKT in your wallet for network fees.
Who controls my AKT after I delegate?
You do. Delegation is noncustodial: Atlas operates the validator, but it does not receive your seed phrase or take ownership of your tokens. Your wallet authorizes delegation, reward, redelegation, and undelegation transactions. Never enter a recovery phrase on a staking website.
How do Akash staking rewards and validator commission work?
Akash distributes AKT staking rewards according to its on-chain rules. A validator deducts its commission from the rewards attributable to its delegators. Commission is not charged against the full delegated balance. Reward rates and commission can change, so confirm current figures in your wallet and on the validator explorer before acting.
Can AKT staking rewards be auto-compounded?
Supported third-party tools such as REStake can periodically redelegate claimed rewards when you grant a limited authorization. Auto-compounding is optional and separate from Atlas’s validator service. Review the tool, authorization permissions, fees, and transaction history before enabling it.
How long does it take to unstake AKT?
The live unbonding period is read from Akash’s on-chain staking parameters and displayed above. During unbonding, the affected AKT cannot be transferred and does not earn staking rewards. Check the current value before submitting an undelegation because network governance can change protocol parameters.
What should I consider before choosing an Akash validator?
Review whether the validator is active and not jailed, its commission, operating history, governance participation, and contribution to decentralization. Atlas joined the Akash validator set on August 28, 2025, at block 23,053,600. The current rank, bonded AKT, and delegator count above are loaded from the chain.
What are the main risks of staking AKT?
AKT can lose market value, reward rates can change, and bonded tokens are illiquid until unbonding completes. Validator downtime or protocol violations may lead to penalties under network rules. Staking rewards are variable, not guaranteed, and do not protect against token-price losses.
