BAND STAKING WITH ATLAS
BandChain is the Cosmos SDK blockchain behind Band’s oracle network, delivering data to DeFi applications and AI agents. BAND supports staking security, network fees and governance. Delegate BAND to Atlas, an independent BandChain validator, while keeping control of your wallet.

Your BAND stays under your control
Atlas never takes custody of your wallet. You approve every delegation, reward, redelegation, and undelegation transaction.
Back reliable oracle infrastructure
BandChain validators secure consensus and participate in the systems that aggregate and publish data for connected applications.
Participate in network governance
Native BAND staking connects token holders to BandChain security and on-chain decisions, including data-feed signaling.

What is BandChain?
BandChain is the Cosmos SDK blockchain behind Band’s cross-chain data platform. Validators secure consensus while Band’s data systems aggregate, verify, and deliver real-world information to smart contracts and applications.
What is BAND used for?
BAND is the native utility token of BandChain. It is used for staking, network security, fees, and governance. Band v3 also connects token-holder participation to signaling for the data symbols the network publishes.
How do I stake BAND with Atlas?
Open the Atlas BAND staking page, connect a supported self-custody wallet, verify Atlas Staking and operator address bandvaloper16c9s32mr3q59w6dupwreh5yyzu20nlp3ctxapu, choose an amount, and approve the delegation. Keep some BAND liquid for transaction fees.
Which wallet can I use to stake BAND?
Keplr supports native BandChain accounts and delegation on desktop and mobile. Atlas provides separate Keplr Extension and Keplr Mobile tutorials. Always confirm that the wallet is connected to BandChain before signing and never disclose your recovery phrase.
Who controls my BAND after I delegate?
You do. Delegation assigns staking power to a validator without transferring ownership to Atlas. Your wallet remains the authority for claiming rewards, redelegating, voting, and beginning undelegation.
How long does it take to unstake BAND?
BandChain’s current staking parameter is 1,814,400 seconds, or 21 days. Undelegated BAND is generally unavailable during that period. Because on-chain parameters can change, verify the live value above and review the wallet transaction before approving it.
What does a BandChain validator do?
A validator participates in consensus, proposes and signs blocks, and helps secure the network. In Band’s data architecture, validators also support the processes that collect, aggregate, and publish data used by connected blockchain applications.
How are BAND staking rewards calculated?
Rewards depend on BandChain’s current issuance, the amount of BAND bonded, validator performance, and validator commission. Rates change and are not guaranteed. The live card shows Atlas’s current on-chain commission rather than advertising a fixed yield.
Can BAND staking rewards be compounded?
Claimed BAND rewards can be delegated again manually. Third-party automation may also exist, but it adds permissions and platform dependencies that should be reviewed separately. Confirm the service, authorization scope, fees, and risks before using any automated compounding tool.
Can I redelegate BAND to a different validator?
BandChain supports redelegation without first waiting through a standard undelegation, subject to Cosmos SDK redelegation rules and timing limits. Verify the source validator, destination validator, and amount in your wallet before signing.
What should I consider when choosing a Band validator?
Confirm that the validator is bonded and not jailed, then compare commission, uptime, operating history, governance participation, and contribution to decentralization. The Atlas card above checks current chain identity and data freshness before showing live statistics.
What are the risks of staking BAND?
BAND can lose market value, rewards and commission can change, and bonded tokens are illiquid during unbonding. Validator downtime or serious protocol violations may cause penalties under network rules. Staking rewards are variable and do not protect against token-price losses.
