Terms of Use
Last updated 12 October 2026.
These terms cover your use of atlasstaking.com and the Atlas staking app at app.atlasstaking.com. We call them the site and the app, and together the services. By using the services you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them.
Our Privacy Policy and our Earnings and Staking Disclaimer are part of these terms. Please read all three.
Who we are
Atlas Staking runs validators and related infrastructure on proof of stake networks. We’re headquartered in the Netherlands and our servers are in Amsterdam. Atlas Staking is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 64677745.
In these terms “Atlas”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Atlas Staking. “You” means the person or organisation using the services.
What the services are
The site publishes information about the networks we validate, along with research and guides. The app is an interface. It reads public blockchain data, shows it to you, and helps you prepare staking transactions that you review and approve in your own wallet.
The services are noncustodial. We never hold your tokens, your private keys or your recovery phrase. We can’t move, freeze, recover or return your assets, and we can’t cancel or reverse a transaction once you’ve approved it.
We aren’t a bank, broker, exchange, custodian, investment firm or adviser. Nothing in the services is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
Who can use the services
You may use the services only if you’re at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement where you live. You’re responsible for making sure that staking, and your use of the services, is lawful where you are.
You may not use the services if you’re subject to sanctions of the European Union, the Netherlands or the United Nations, or if you’re in a country or region under comprehensive sanctions. We may limit or refuse access where the law requires it.
Your wallet and your responsibilities
Your wallet belongs to you, and so does everything in it. You’re responsible for all of the following.
- Keeping your wallet, devices, private keys and recovery phrase safe.
- Checking every transaction in your wallet or on your hardware device before you approve it.
- Paying the network fees your transactions cost.
- Reporting and paying any tax you owe.
- Choosing wallets and software you trust.
Blockchain transactions are final. If you send a transaction you didn’t mean to send, we can’t undo it.
Staking and its risks
When you stake with an Atlas validator, your tokens stay in your own account on the network. The network’s own rules decide rewards, lockups and penalties. We don’t control those rules and they can change.
Staking carries real risk. You could lose some or all of the value you stake. The risks include the following.
- Penalties set by a network, often called slashing, when a validator breaks that network’s rules.
- Missed or lower rewards.
- Unbonding periods during which you can’t move or sell your tokens.
- Changes to a network’s software, rules or economics.
- Faults or attacks in smart contracts, wallets, bridges or a network itself.
- Sharp moves in token prices.
- Changes in law or in how staking is taxed.
Rates shown in the services are estimates based on current network data. They change, and they aren’t promises. Rewards are paid by the network. Atlas doesn’t pay them and doesn’t guarantee them.
Validators charge a commission, which the network takes from rewards before they reach you. The app shows the commission for each network. We may change a commission within the limits that network allows.
Our Earnings and Staking Disclaimer says more about these risks.
Fees
The site and the app are free to use. You pay the network fees for your own transactions, and validator commission applies as described above. Some features rely on other providers, who may charge their own fees. If a feature ever carries a fee from Atlas, the app will show it before you confirm.
Promotions, rebates and NFTs
From time to time we run promotions, such as fee rebates or commemorative NFTs. Each promotion has its own rules on its own page, and those rules apply together with these terms. If the two disagree, the promotion’s rules decide for that promotion.
NFTs we issue are receipts or collectibles. They carry no promised price, return or use unless the promotion’s rules say so. We may change or end a promotion for the future, as its rules allow.
Other providers and links
The services connect to things we don’t run. Examples are wallets, block explorers, network nodes, price feeds and the routing provider behind the swap page. We link to them or build on them for your convenience.
We don’t control these providers, and we aren’t responsible for what they do, what they charge or whether they’re available. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them.
Information in the services
We work to keep the services accurate, but figures, prices, rates and articles can be late, incomplete or wrong. Blockchain data comes from public sources that we don’t control. Please check anything important against the network itself before you rely on it.
Articles and guides are general information. They aren’t written for your personal situation.
Acceptable use
You agree not to do any of the following.
- Use the services for anything unlawful, including money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions evasion.
- Attack, overload, probe or disrupt the services or the networks behind them.
- Copy the services in bulk by automated means without our written permission.
- Pretend to be Atlas or another person.
- Get around any technical limit or restriction we’ve put in place.
Our content and brand
The Atlas name, logo, design, text and software in the services belong to Atlas or to those who license them to us. You may use the services for your own personal or internal business purposes.
You may not copy, sell or republish our content without written permission, except where the law allows it. Open source components keep their own licences.
Availability and changes
We provide the services as they are and as available. We may change, pause or retire any part of them at any time. We don’t promise that the services will always be online or free of errors.
Your stake doesn’t depend on the app. It lives on the network, so you can always manage it with any compatible wallet, even if our site or app is unavailable.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that can’t be limited or excluded by law. That includes liability for intent or deliberate recklessness, and any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
Subject to that, and as far as the law allows, the following applies.
- We aren’t liable for losses caused by networks, protocols, smart contracts, wallets or other providers. That includes penalties, forks, bugs, attacks and outages.
- We aren’t liable for losses caused by your own actions, such as a mistaken transaction, a lost recovery phrase or a compromised device.
- We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost rewards or a fall in the price of any token.
- Our total liability to you for all claims in any 12 month period is limited to the commission Atlas received on your stake in those 12 months, or 100 euros if that’s more.
If you break these terms
If you break these terms or the law while using the services, and that causes Atlas a loss or leads to a claim against us, you’ll cover that loss as far as the law allows.
We may limit or end your access to the app if you break these terms or if the law requires it. That doesn’t touch your tokens, which stay under your control on the network.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect and how we use it. Public blockchain addresses and transactions are visible to everyone, and we can’t delete them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we’ll say so on the site. By continuing to use the services after a change, you accept the new terms. If you don’t accept them, please stop using the services.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may also bring a claim in the courts there.
Please contact us first. Most problems are solved faster by email.
General
If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Earnings and Staking Disclaimer and the rules of any promotion you join, are the whole agreement between you and Atlas about the services. These terms are written in English, and the English version decides if a translation differs.
